Luke Houghton

I was born and raised in Queensland, Australia where I still live in sunny Brisbane. I work at Griffith University as an academic in the Management department. I am lucky enough to have nailed a PhD in problem solving which I got from the University of New England.  I have consulted on decision making projects for Queensland Rail. I have done at lot at the age of 31 including: finishing three business degrees, working with two government departments, finishing two full length novels (more on that later), worked at two universities and had two beautiful children with my wife. You know what… the best is yet to come. One of the greatest things I have had the privilege to do is serve on the International Gospel Centre (a Christian aid agency). At the moment I am working on my main research area which is the role framing plays in messy problem solving and this website. Personally I am a dedicated Christian who is committed to studying and solving the problems of life.

At the moment my life is in a transition phase. I am moving from the world of papers and journal writing into something new and interesting. I have always been a transient person. Moving from one challenge to the next. 2008 is the year of transition so I am making the leap from one to the other. Heaps more exciting things to come so check back often for updates.
