Julie Zuckerberg is an executive recruiter with over a decade and a half of industry experience. Julie sources and attracts the best talent for some of the biggest financial institutions in the world, including Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, and New York Life Insurance. She attended Brooklyn College (City University of New York) where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Julie later attended New York Law School to round out her studies.
Julie started her career at Hudson, in New York City, where she worked for five years. She was the Director of Candidate Placement. Julie was responsible for sourcing paralegals, lawyers, temporary workers, and staff for banks, law firms, and various other companies. Julie was also responsible for resolving any issues that would arise between the employers and employees. She would also brief prospective employees on working environment, work benefits, and promotion opportunities to ensure employee/employer cohesion. She offered counsel and coaching to ensure that the workers were prepared adequately for their future roles at their companies. She went on to work for Citi in the New York office after finishing her time at Hudson in 2007.
At Citi, Julie was the Executive Recruiter for Citi Global Functions and was responsible for critical recruitment tasks within the company. Julie was in charge of recruiting senior level executives for the Compliance, Audit, and Legal departments. She advised her clients on best hiring practices, drafted job descriptions and criteria to fill open positions. Julie championed the use of novel recruitment methods such as social media, and through internet networking websites. Her work enabled her to get a promotion after four years. She was appointed the Executive Recruiter for Citi Global Consumer Bank. Here she sourced even higher level positions such as Directors and Managing Directors for different divisions of the company. The scope of her search widened as she now had to look for candidates globally.
Julie joined New York Life Insurance as Corporate Vice President and Executive Recruiter. She was in charge of managing the outsourced recruiting team and screening candidates who were recommended to the enterprise. She was later tapped by Deutsche Bank to become Vice President and Executive Recruiter. She was promoted to a larger role at the company within two years to become the Executive Talent Acquisition Lead, working with various departments such as Asset and Wealth Management and Global Technology & Operations to source for senior talent. She holds this position to date.
