And I think one way to fight spam is not to exposed email.

As an alternative, you may use [at] and [dot] or images.

I guess Alison’s very right. As long as they get any slightest response (just by clicking on 1 single button off their email mining/spamming software) they’ll do it because I read off a blog article that it’s can be very lucrative.

The last thing I read said it was less than 1/10th of a percent. I suppose as long as there is a response rate they will continue to spam us! Good point.

My latest spam includes the subject “we caught you naked [insert name here]“. The reason spam is so successful and keeps coming is that a very small percentage of people click on the links. The cost of sending all those emails is negligible, so there is a huge gain for a small outlay. Makes perfect sense if you don’t mind p*@@ing off 99+% of net users who wouldn’t be your customers anyway.
