The Moment of Truth is a sad indictment on what money makes people do

Reality television is leaning more and more toward the running man every day. I mean Arnold Schwarzenegger must be rolling around in his grave. Lauren Cleri confessed to millions (and I mean MILLIONS) of people that she would rather be married to her ex-lover than her husband and THEN said she was cheating on him; so she could get 200 grand. This was on the American show that we *sigh* are shamelessly reproducing here in Australia. How horrible for her husband to be embarrassed and humiliated on national television like this. More to the point - this is heartless, shameful television. It’s now clear to me that human dignity is a thing of past for television executives.

We are moving and more and more away from common decency and good taste into a quagmire of shame and indignity. Personally I think this is beyond bad taste and into the realm of human self-deprecation. What’s next: burn your neighbour for $1000? Somewhere between survivor and the biggest loser we just lost our way *shakes head*. Money is the god of this age.
